The West Australian Deaf Society Inc

The WA Deaf Society provides a wide range of information, referral, education and support services by skilled and qualified staff to ensure that Deaf and hard of hearing people have full and equal participation in the decisions that affect their lives. The need for such a specialised service is essential as the majority of generic services are not always accessible, due to the lack of understanding by the wider community of the linguistic and cultural needs of the Deaf community.

It is not only Deaf and hard of hearing people that access services offered by the WA Deaf Society. Families, friends, colleagues, businesses, students, medical practitioners, legal practitioners and public officers regularly contact the Deaf Society for information about Deaf and hard of hearing people.
